United Nations – Pandemic Coronavirus is equalled to World War II.
Pandemic Coronavirus has approximately 9,00,000 positive cases worldwide at present and more adding. Every day thousands are dying and it has created a panic like situation for every country’s health and economic conditions. There have been 42,352 deaths reported until now.
United Nations Secretary-General António Guterres warned that this could be the world’s most challenging phase since the World War II crisis.
He said combating a pandemic that threatens human beings in every country could lead to a recession “that probably has no parallel in the recent past”.
“We are facing a global health crisis unlike any in the 75-year history of the United Nations one that is killing people, spreading human suffering, and upending people’s lives… This is much more than a health crisis. It is a human crisis. The coronavirus disease (COVID-19) is attacking societies at their core,” the UN chief said during the launch of a report on the socioeconomic impacts of the pandemic on Tuesday.
