A former Model Amy Doris has accused US President Donald Trump of sexually assaulting her at the 1997 US Open Tennis Tournament, telling The Guardian that the incident left her feeling ‘sick’ and ‘ violated’.
Amy Dorris alleged that Trump forcibly kissed her and groped her outside the bathroom of his VIP box at the tournament in New York on 5 September 1997.Her account is now among more than 20 allegations of sexual misconduct that have been brought against the president.
Dorris, who was 24 at the time, accuses Trump of forcing his tongue down her throat, assaulting her all over her body, and holding her in a grip she was unable to escape from.
However Trump campaign completely denied Ms. Dorris’s allegations.Jenna Ellis, a legal adviser to the Trump Campaign said in a statement that “We will consider every legal means available to hold the Guardian accountable for its malicious publications of this unsubstantiated story. This is just another pathetic attempt to attack President Trump right before the election”.
Doris also said that she had thought about coming forward in 2016 but was concerned about the potential backlash she and her family might face. She added that she ultimately decided to do so this year because she wants to set an example for her twin daughters.
President Donald Trump has now faced allegations of sexual misconduct from at least 22 women. He has also openly bragged about committing sexual assault in a leaked Access Hollywood tape, during which he talked about grabbing women” by the pussy”.
Moreover Mr. Trump is currently the subject of a defamation lawsuit from the author E. Jean Carrol who has accused him of raping her in a Manhattan department store in the 1990s.
