Every Indian must be given doses on priority.

BJP government has banned the export of remdesivir injection used in the treatment of corona. According to the statement issued by government, in the last few days there was a shortage of injection due to 11 lakh active cases in the country. This ban will continue till situation improves.

A lot of people on twitter requesting government to provide vaccination and not exporting it, as there is a shortage of vaccine, oxygen cylinders, hospitals.

Explaining the government on the prohibition of export a senior trade dept official has said “Banning exports will affect the global standing of India as a hub for vaccine manufacturing. It will also erode our reputation as an ally of the bloc of smaller, economically less-developed nations since many of the commercial orders are to entities coordinating vaccine relief efforts on an international scale”.

Till now 2 Indian producers have exported 3.57 crore dose for foreign country and yet to complete many.
