Breaking: Internet services banned in 17 districts of Haryana: Read full report

The Haryana government has stopped internet service in 14 districts of the state with immediate effect. Earlier internet service was stopped in three districts Sonepat, Palwal and Jhajjar of the state. This ban will continue till 5 pm on Saturday 30 January.

Demonstrations and protests of farmers started in many places in Haryana on Friday. Along with this, local people demonstrated against the farmers who were protesting at the Singhu border near Sonipat. This led to a situation of confrontation there. Along with this, a situation of confrontation arose between the local people and agitating farmers at the Tikari Border in Bahadurgarh.

After this, the Home Department of Haryana issued an order to stop internet service in 14 more districts of the state till 5 pm January 30. During this time only voice call service will continue. State has decided to discontinue internet services in Ambala, Yamunanagar, Kurukshetra, Karnal, Kaithal, Panipat, Hisar, Jind, Rohtak, Bhiwani, Charkhi Dadri, Fatehabad, Rewari and Sirsa districts till 5 PM 30th January.

Internet services in the three districts of the state Sonipat, Palwal and Jhajjar have been closed since the evening of 26 January. In these districts, internet service was stopped for the first 24 hours and later they were extended.
