Prime minister Narendra Modi visited Uttar Pradesh yet again to do the inauguration of some new big projects ahead of the state polls next year. This time it is happening in Gorakhpur- The city which is considered the most prominent city of eastern Uttar Pradesh under Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. In Gorakhpur, the Prime Minister is also participating in the reopening ceremony of the city’s fertilizer factory that was closed for almost three decades.
PM Narendra Modi is also installing a 300-bed AIIMS facility. He is also inaugurating a regional medical research center that contains a virus research and testing lab. Eastern UP is a vital region for the BJP with the state election. In 2017, the party won a majority of the region’s 150 plus seats. However, this time Akhilesh Yadav is the biggest challenger of BJP. Minister is going to organize a gathering, a political event similar to those organized for previous UP visits.As per the government, the total costs of the three projects will be Rs 10,000 crore.
