Mumbai: The team of Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation reaches the Mumbai office of actress Kangana Ranaut’s Manikarnika Films in Bandra on Wednesday morning.
The Shiv- Sena controlled BMC claims that the building is an illegal construction. The 33 year- old actor has alleged that Maharashtra Government is targeting her because of her fight with Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Raut and her controversial tweet in which she compared Mumbai with Pakistan- ruled Kashmir.
The demolition began just after 11 am after they brought bulldozer to demolish the site. On Tuesday BMC stuck a notice on the building’s gate stating that some portion of the building is “unauthorised”.
“As I am set for Mumbai Darshan on my way to the airport, Maha (Maharashtra) government and their goons are at my property all set to illegally break it down, go on! I promised to give blood for Maharashtra pride this is nothing take everything but my spirit will only rise higher and higher.” Ranaut tweeted.
“There is no illegal construction in my house, also government has banned any demolitions in Covid till September 30, Bullywood watch now this is what fascism looks like😊.” She wrote in her latest tweet.
Meanwhile, Kangana Ranaut lands in Mumbai’s Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport along with her sister Rangoli Chandel with the Y plus security protection where all the members of Bhartiya Kamgar Sena which is affiliated to Shiv Sena started protesting against the actor’s arrival.
After reaching her place the actress began tweeting the videos of the demolished areas of her office by using hashtag #DeathOfDemocracy:
Bollywood actress Dia Mirza also shared her reaction to the incident by tweeting:
“Kangana comparing Mumbai to PoK is not acceptable. But there is absolutely no doubt that @mybmc moving too suddenlt conduct a demolition of areas of her office space is totally questionable. Why now? Why like this? What were you doing all this time if there were irregularities?
“I don’t agree with many of the things Kangana has said in the last few months. The name calling, the vicious personal attacks on individuals, the vilification of people. At the same time i am not okay with her being subjected to personal attacks.” She added.
