UP STF issues an order for its men to uninstall 52 Chinese apps, read to know further insights

UP Special Task Force (STF), on Friday, has asked all its personnel to uninstall all Chinese apps from their mobile phones with immediate effect.

The directive comes in the wake of prevailing tension on the Indo-China borders.

STF IG Amitabh Yash has ordered the force asking to remove 52 Chinese apps mentioning that these apps could be a threat to confidential data getting leaked or stolen and were insecure. He commended an earlier order of the ministry of home affairs in this regard.

There has been an increase in the demand for uninstalling or deleting Chinese apps from our smartphones and boycott goods that are made in China after the ferocious face-off with Chinese troops in Galawan Valley that left 20 Indian troops dead.

The list of apps issued by IG includes popular apps like TikTok, Helo, UC News, UC Browser, Xender, Club Factory, Wonder camera, Selfie City, among others.

TikTok was one of the most popular apps among the listed apps and almost every police personnel has it on his smartphone.
