TRP Scandal: Netizens flooded Twitter as Arnab’s chat with ex-BARC CEO leaked!

Mumbai police probe into the TRP scandal has taken a new turn. Republic TV editor Arnab Goswami and ex-BARC CEO Partho Dasgupta What’s App chat leaked online. Netizens and troller are taking a dig and jibe at Arnab because as the chat goes Arnab bluffed the country and was involved in backdoor lobbying in the name of national welfare.

In the month of October 2020, the Mumbai police commissioner Param Bir Singh accused Republic TV and two other channels – Fakt Marathi and Box Cinema, of using confidential information for personal gain and named it ‘TRP Scandal’. In the chatterbox, Partho is seeing using world ‘Useless’ for Union Minister Prakash Javdekar and Arnab’s purportedly says ‘All the ministers are with us’. There is also a conversation where the post of I&B minister is discussed where Arnab is inspected of saying that “He might meet PM on Thursday and Smriti Irani name has been proposed for I&B minister.

The leaked chat indicates the several breaking that Republic TV did ahead of other news channels. The chat also involves discussions about Mehbooba Mufti and Omar Abdullah’s house arrests.
