Russian ambassador to Turkey Andrey Karlov died in an armed assault in Ankara. The attack took place at the opening of the “Russia through Turks’ eyes” photo exhibition.
It was also reported that the killer had a Turkish police ID. Though, it was not reported that he was a policeman or not. Many in twitter claim that he indeed is a Turkish policeman named Mevlüt Mert Altıntaş.

He showed when entering the exhibition. It was reported that he received medical help on the site first and was rushed to the hospital after that. Andrey Gennadievich Karlov was born in 1954. He was appointed Russia’s Ambassador to Turkey in 2013.
One video has surfaced on the internet where the gunman is saying something and dead body of Andrey Gennadievich Karlov is lying on the floor.
