1 Haryana Minister Anil Vij who Participated in Covaxin tests Corona Positive.

Haryana Health Minister Anil Vij on Saturday (December 5, 2020) said that he has contracted coronavirus. The news comes within 15 days of him being administered a trial dose of COVID-19 vaccine Covaxin.

Taking to Twitter on Saturday, Vij said that those who have come in close contact with him are advised to get themselves tested for coronavirus.

In a statement later in the day, the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare said, “Covaxin is a two-dose anti-coronavirus vaccine and Haryana Health Minister Anil Vij, who had volunteered for its phase-three trial, was given only the first dose.”

2 China Becomes Second Country in History to Plant a Flag on the Moon, 50 Years after the US.

Over 50 years after the United States planted the first human flag on the moon, China has become the second Country to leave a flag on the lunar surface.

On Friday, the China National Space Administration (CSNA) released pictures of a Chinese flag placed on the Lunar surface.

The pictures were taken as China’s Chang’e-5 lunar vehicle finished collecting samples of lunar rocks and soil more than a day ahead of schedule in the first lunar sample retrieval mission since the 1970s.

3 Ritu Phogat beats Jomary Torres, extends unbeaten pro MMA record.

Indian wrestler-turned-mixed martial arts fighter Ritu Phogat won her fourth consecutive MMA championship title in Singapore.

The 26-year-old Indian beat Philippines’ Jomary Torres via technical knockout in round one of ONE Championship (ONE) at the Singapore Indoor Stadium.

Ritu “The Indian Tigress” Phogat was triumphant once again, maintaining her pro-MMA 4-0 records topping the Philippines’ Jomary “The Zamboanginian Fighter” Torres in the opening bout. Torres stunned Phogat with straight punches early on, causing the latter to shoot for a takedown. On the mat, Phogat was the picture of perfection, swiftly moving into a mounted crucifix to end the bout with elbows from the top. Using her hammer fists and her elbow she not only rendered her harmless and defenseless but made sure this was the most dreaded fight of her career.

4 Bahrain Becomes Second Country To Approve Pfizer COVID-19 Vaccine.

Bahrain announced on Friday that it had approved the emergency use of the Pfizer-BioNTech coronavirus vaccine, becoming the second country after Britain to green-light the drug.

The UK was the first country to approve the Pfizer vaccine as well as the first western country to approve a vaccine against COVID-19.

“The approval of the Pfizer/BioNTech vaccine will add a further important layer to the kingdom’s national Covid-19 response,” said Mariam al-Jalahma, CEO of the National Health Regulatory Authority, according to a statement carried by the official Bahrain News Agency (BNA).
