Whenever we take the name of Sikhs, they are always remembered for good deeds.History is a proof that Sikhs have given their lives whenever there was a need for the country’s need.Sikhs practices are simple, precise and practical guidelines laid out by the Gurus for the practice of the “Sikh way of life”.Sikhs are always known for their devotion towards work and exercise their responsibilities to the community and take an active part in the maintenance and safeguard of the community.
The Recent attack in London also displayed the same image, where Parliament was swiftly put on lockdown, with lawmakers and staff ordered to remain inside. Hundreds of people were later evacuated from the building in that Sikhs also played the key role while evaluating people from the building.
Police cordoned off a large area in Westminster and tourists on the London Eye, a popular tourist attraction, were stuck 135 metres (443 feet) in the air during the incident.
Prime Minister Theresa May, who was in parliament at the time, was ushered away by car and was preparing to chair a meeting of the government’s COBRA emergencies committee.
A police spokesman said extra officers would be patrolling the city and urged the public to be vigilant.
Though, British Sikhs on Thursday condemned the “callous” and “deplorable” terrorist attack in London in which four persons, including the attacker, were killed. Sikh Federation (UK) called for unity against all violence and terrorism and urged Sikhs to remain “calm and extra vigilant”.
