The filming of Tom Cruise’s ‘Mission: Impossible7’ has been delayed after some crew members tested positive for COVID-19.

Paramount Pictures briefly halted shooting after few members tested positive for coronavirus on the British set of seventh Mission: Impossible film starring casts like Tom Cruise, Ving Rhames, Henry Czerny, Simon Pegg, Rebecca Ferguson, Vanessa Kirby, Angela Bassett and Frederick Schmidt.

The film’s producers have made a statement on COVID testing conducted on the set of the action thriller in the United Kingdom.

In a statement, Paramount stated “We have temporarily halted production on Mission: Impossible 7 until June 14th, due to positive coronavirus test results during routine testing, We are following all safety protocols and will continue to monitor the situation.”

Cruise was recorded ranting at the production crew for breaking COVID-19 regulations while filming in December, prompting the positive diagnosis. The leaked audio recording caused quite a stir and became a topic of discussion.

When filming was abandoned in Venice, Italy in February 2020, the seventh film in the series was one of the first to halt production due to the outbreak. It’s uncertain how many crew members tested positive, but according to sources, roughly 14 people have contracted the virus.

Christopher McQuarrie is directing Mission: Impossible 7. On May 27, 2022, the action film will be released.
