Nawazuddin Siddiqui’s spouse Aaliya Sidduqui has filed for divorce. She has sent him a notice demanding for maintenance charging some “serious allegations” on him. The reasons behind this step taken by Aaliya and the serious allegations alleged by her are still not revealed. But she said to Zee News that she could not take it up further.

Aaliya told ABP News about the reason for divorce, “There is not one reason but several reasons behind my problems with Nawaz. And, all these reasons are very serious.” In addition she said that she had changed her name back to Anjana Anand Kishore Pandey two months ago. She is also known as Anjali.

Nawazzudin siddiqui and Aaliya tied knots 11 years ago and have two children together. She said in her statement that the problems she alleged were “serious ones” and there have been issues in their marriage for several years and never exaggerated them but now she could not take this further and have decided to end the marriage and sought divorce. In 2017, there were news of their divorce all over but the couple refuted it back then.

Aaliya’s lawyer told to Zee News that the notice has been sent to the actor via WhatsApp and email on May 7 due to lockdown issues but Nawazuddin is still unresponsive to this. “Yes, it is to confirm that we have sent a legal notice to  Mr Nawazuddin Siddiqui. The notice was sent on behalf of Mrs Aaliya Siddiqui on May 7, 2020. Due to unprecedented COVID-19 times, the notice could not be sent through speed post. It has been sent through email as well as WhatsApp. Mrs Siddiqui, our client, has also sent the notice through WhatsApp. However, Mr Siddiqui has not responded till date. I think he is just keeping quiet regarding the notice and ignoring it. The notice has been sent claiming maintenance and divorce. I would not like to get into the details of the notice regarding what are the contents and what are the allegations, but let me tell you that the allegations are quite serious and those are very sensitive to Mr Siddiqui as well as his family members,” the lawyer said.

Meanwhile, On may 11, the actor and his family went to their hometown, Budhana, in Muzaffarnagar, Uttar Pradesh. The 45-year-old actor and his family reached their hometown for the Eid celebrations after acquiring all necessary permissions for travel from the authorities of Maharashtra. Soon after they reached their hometown, Nawazuddin and his family were asked to home quarantine themselves from May 11 to May 25.

Yesterday afternoon, the actor also tweeted, “Due to the recent loss of my younger sister, my mother who is 71-years-old, got anxiety attack twice. We have followed all the guidelines given by the State Government. We are home quarantined at our hometown Budhana. Please stay home, stay safe,”
