School Reopening: Know when and in which state schools are going to reopen.

The process of unlocking in various states is also in its final stages amidst very low reports of infection of the second wave of the epidemic. The dates for the opening of schools for senior classes are being announced by the state government and in some states, schools have been opened for senior classes. In this sequence, let us know in turn about the latest status of School Reopening 2021 in different states-

Odisha: The state government has announced the opening of hostels for the students of class 10th and 12th from Monday, July 26, 2021. Samir Ranjan Das, Minister of School and Mass Education in the Government of Odisha gave information on Thursday, July 22. The education minister said, “We have decided to reopen the hostels for class 10, 12 from July 26. However, we have asked the students to take the consent of their parents. Those who do not wish to attend the traditional classes can continue with online education.”

Rajasthan: The state government has also announced the date of opening of schools. Sharing information in this regard on Thursday, 22 July 2021, Education Minister Govind Singh Dotasara said, “In the cabinet meeting held today, it has been decided to open all the schools in the state from 02 August.” However, the Rajasthan Education Minister did not clarify whether the state’s government and private schools would open only for senior classes i.e. students of 9th to 12th standard or to all like other states.

Himachal Pradesh- The date of opening of state schools for the students of class 10 to class 12 has also been announced by the state government. According to an update of news agency ANI on Thursday, July 22, in the cabinet meeting held with Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur, it has been decided to open schools for the students of class 10th, 11th and 12th from August 2, 2021. Also, students of class 5 to class 8 have also been given permission to call the schools only for doubt clearance i.e. to know the solution of the questions.

Gujarat: The state government has also given permission to government and private schools to open senior classes 9th to 12th from Monday, July 26. However, only 50 percent of the students can be called at a time.

Maharashtra: At the same time, the Government of Maharashtra has opened for students from 8th to 12th classes from 15th July 2021 for students. However, schools have been allowed to open only in those areas where there are no cases of epidemic infection.

Madhya Pradesh: The state government has given permission to the schools to call the students of classes 11th and 12th from July 26. Also, the date for calling 9th and 10th students from the first week of August is to be decided after assessing the pandemic situation. After this, the schools of middle and primary classes have been informed about the decision to be taken after the assessment of the situation after August 15.

In Haryana, schools have been opened for students from class 9th to 12th from July 16. At the same time, schools will be opened for students from class 6th to 8th from July 23. During this, the schools have been instructed to ensure all necessary precautions and measures.

In Bihar too, schools for 11th and 12th students and all higher education institutions have been opened from July 12. However, only 50 per cent attendance will have to be maintained at a time.

Chhattisgarh: The state government has given permission to open schools and higher education institutions for the students of class 11th and 12th with 50% attendance from August 2, 2021.
