Indian Cricketer wear Black Armband as a homage for Pulwama Martyrs
On the first International T20 India played against Australia on Sunday, Indian players wore black armbands as a mark of respect for the 40 CRPF bravehearts who lost their life in the Pulwama terror attack.
With the opening of IPL, BCCI has already announced that they will be donating close to Rs 15 Crore to the families of the martyred soldiers.
“Our sincere condolences to the families of the soldiers who lost lives. The Indian team is really shocked and sad about what happened”, ace cricketer Virat Kohli shared his thoughts on the eve of the game.
BCCI shared a pic of both team India and Australia standing on the field, while the caption read, “Team India and Australia pay homage to the martyrs of Pulwama Terror Attack before the start of play today at Vizag”.
While asking about boycotting the June 16 World Cup Match with Pakistan, Virat Kohli said, “the team will abide by any decision that the government takes”.
