#NLCExclusive: Lion and Tigers Starving in Lucknow Zoo Due to Meat Shortage.

After taking oath Yogi Adityanath has given priority for the beef ban and the illegal slaughter houses are shut down. On one hand CM is taking such step and on the other hand, there is some sad news coming from Lucknow.

“Nawab Wazid Ali Shah Prani Udyan Zoo” Lucknow has been going through a food shortage for animals. The situation arose due to the negligence of zoo officials. The contractor hired for the meat supply refused to deliver and the situation is getting worse for the animals present in the zoo.

This is not the first time situation like that have arisen. A few years back the same problem occurred but after the media chaos, the situation was taken under control. The situation is not limited to just Lucknow zoo but in Lion Safari Etawah, too there are reports of food shortage.

Mr Anupam Gupta, the director of Lucknow Zoo while talking to NLC revealed that the information received is totally false and refused to acknowledge the fact.

In Lucknow zoo, there is a need of 12-kilo meat for lions. There are around 8 lions, 7 Tigers, 8 Panthers in the zoo. Yogi Adityanath has just become a chief minister of UP and the animal welfare should also be his priority. The situation like this should not be repeated and the government should take strict action against the people responsible.
