Recently, the initiative by England and Wales Cricket Board’s (ECB) program, had collaborated with Indian cricketer Virat Kohli. Virat met 30 children of Southampton Springhill School. The whole set of children met the Indian cricket team at Hampshire Bowl. The children had amazingly, a good time with the Indian team. They clicked pictures with them and had their autographs. Virat was humble enough to make the children, relaxed and comfortable.
Virat was extremely easy with the children, and even the children embraced his presence to a great extent. A boy named Shiven Kumar(nine years old), was lucky enough to get signatures of his idols-Virat Kohli and MS Dhoni, on his bat itself. His favorite bowler is Jasprit Bumrah. Annabel and Eva were the two girls, who were having hesitating nature in the initial phase, but later on, they became frank with the cricketers. They also had an in interest in playing football, but they preferred cricket over football, as they were more passionate and dedicated towards cricket.
“I believe that cricket can really make a difference to children’s lives”, Virat Kohli said. Our Indian cricket team does not leave a single stone unturned, to portray our country as humble and friendly. we are proud of your team!.
“Spending time with kids is an absolute joy and an opportunity to contribute to their journey in some way. Such honesty and commitment to whatever kids do. So much to learn as well and the biggest learning is to Never forget the joy of playing this great game.”, Virat tweeted.
