On 6th December 1992, a large crowd of aggressive ‘Hindu Karsevak’ demolished the 16th century Babri Masjid in the city of Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh. The demolition occurred after a political rally at the site went wrong. On 6th December 1992, the VHP and BJP organized a rally involving more than 1,50,000 people as ‘Karsevak’. This rally on 6th December turned into a violent rally leading Karsevaks to pass the security and demolishing the Mosque. The succeeding inquiry into the case found 68 people responsible for Violence. The list of responsible people includes some leaders from Vishva Hindu Parishad and BJP. The demolition of the Babri Mosque leads to lead the rioting between Hindus and Muslims of our country. As per the estimated score, more than 2,000 people were killed in this riot. As a result of which Hindus in Muslim country like Pakistan and Bangladesh were also hurt.
2018 marks the completion of the 26th anniversary of Babri Masjid Demolition. VHP celebrates this day as ‘Shaurya Divash’. Even after 26 years, not even a single brick has been put forward for the construction of Lord Ram Temple. The case has been pending in the court. Only the trials have been conducted. No decision had been made so far. BJP who elevated the slogans with RSS that ‘Mandir Wahi Banaenge’ in 1992 is now in power at the Center and at State as well. The Hindu Karsevak and RSS supporters are now demanding the construction of Lord Ram Temple and establishment of Lord Ram statue under the temple.
The day from which the BJP has come to power is saying that we are fighting in Supreme Court. Soon the judgment in the favor of Lord Ram Temple construction will prevail. On the other hand, the opposition party Congress is demanding stay.
