Former President of United States Donald Trump has fired Defense Secretary Mark Espar and three other loyalists to the president which were the top- notch defense jobs and replaced them on Tuesday with the Indian- American aide Kash Patel and Ezra Cohen, while refusing to yield the election. Both Patel and Cohen are the former members of the National Security Council and were considered loyal to the president.

Very next day after Trump fired Espar, he also fired Chief to Staff to the Secretary of Defense James Stewart, Under Secretary of Defense for Policy James Anderson, and Under Secretary of Defense for Intelligence and Security Joseph Kernan resigned.

There is a speculation that more defense officials will be sacked from their jobs in 70 days until Joe Biden administration takes over.

This flow of departures shocked the whole Department of Defense. A defense official told CNN that the situation was “unsettling,” and “these are the dictator moves.”

Washington Democrat and chairman of the House Armed Services Committee Rep. Adam Smith, accused Donald Trump for creating chaos after losing the elections. “That chaos has now reached the Pentagon,” he wrote.
