Priyanka Chopra to star alongside Octavia Spencer and Jim Parsons in her next Hollywood movie.

We are so eagerly waiting for Priyanka Chopra to announce her next project but there has been no word about it from the actress. She has not revealed anything about Quantico season 3, her three upcoming Bollywood projects or if she has any Hollywood film in her kitty, other than soon-to-release Baywatch. But, fortunately for us, a Hollywood producer Paul Bernon might have spilled the beans about her next project.

Paul is producing a film titled A Kid Like Jake. He shared the news of Octavia Spencer joining the cast, and announced his involvement with the project, on Twitter. In the same tweet, he tagged Priyanka Chopra as well, confirming her as a cast member. A Kid Like Jake also stars Jim Parsons and Claire Danes alongside Octavia and Priyanka (both the actresses are represented by same talent agency- WME).

As per reports carried by Deadline and Variety, the plot of the film revolves around a four-year-old kid named Jake, and his parents. The parents will try to find the right kindergarten for Jake while coming to terms with Jake’s gender identity. Priyanka will play the parents’ friend – a single mother named Amal. The plot of the film certainly sounds like something that creates Oscar buzz. Wow! Now we are waiting for a confirmation from the actress. Filming is supposed to begin VERY SOON in New York.

Jim Parsons has the HUGE fan following in India, thanks to the popularity of the TV series The Big Bang Theory. Jim essays the role of the eccentric genius Sheldon Cooper in the comedy. Octavia Spencer to is the well-known name, courtesy her work in Oscar-nominated movies like The Help and Hidden Figures. It will be so great to see our desi-girl Priyanka work opposite such massive stars.

A Kid Like Jake is based on Daniel Pearle’s play of the same name. The movie will be directed by Silas Howard, known for directing episodes of Transparent.
