After two hit numbers, Mohabbat and Halka Halka, Fanney Khan’s third song, Achche Din, released today and the melodious track has tugged at people’s heartstrings. The song, featuring Anil Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao, is being called a tribute to the common man. In Fanney Khan, Anil plays a failed singer, who is trying hard to fulfil his dreams through his daughter, and Achche Din brings forth his angst and needs to turn around his life. It focuses on his crushed dream, and in spite of that, his never-say-die spirit.
While the video has several endearing moments, it also has the presence of two legendary Indian artists. In the first few shots of the song, one sees Anil paying his respects to the photos of late playback singer Mohammad Rafi and late Bollywood star Shammi Kapoor. The shot evokes a sense of nostalgia and is definitely one of the best frames in the video.
The song has been composed and sung by Amit Trivedi, and it has been penned by Irshad Kamil. Before this, Mohabbat and Halka Halka impressed fans when they released and garnered much attention. While Mohabbat featured Aishwarya Rai Bachchan as the singing sensation Baby Singh, the other song Halka Halka showcased the refreshing chemistry of Aishwarya and Rajkummar.
Fanney Khan, which is a remake of Belgian film Everybody’s Famous!, is set to release on August 3. The movie has brought together Anil and Aishwarya in the same frame after 17 years and has been helmed by debut director Atul Manjerekar.
