Don’t Be Calm: After Sarabhai Vs Sarabhai, It’s Time For ‘Hum Paanch’ To Make A Come-Back On TV.
Heavy make-up, rebirths, superstition, illogical scenes, and above all, love and romance, that’s the Indian TV content for you ladies and gentleman. And that’s the biggest reason why Netflix, and the same, had gathered so much of traction in the Indians sub-continent.
In a time when TV industry is thriving for good content and viewers are slipping away from TV, Indian TV industry needs a real change. And that’s why the show like Sarabhai Vs Sarabhai is making its way to the small screen.
Talking about the nostalgic feels it give, earlier in the year, Disney had announced its favourite cartoon show ‘Duck Tales’ to be making its entry on the small screen.
Taking forward the same legacy, the ‘Hum Paanch’ is also ready to make its way to the Indian off-shore. Yes! You read that right. After Sarabhai Vs Sarabhai is announced to make its way, though it will be a web-series (who cares, by the way), it’s ‘Hum Paanch’ family who is getting reunited.
The show has a slight change in the name. The new show is renamed to ‘Hum Paanch Phir Se,’ which really make some sense. The original show was produced by the saas-bahu genre-maker, Ekta Kapoor. Can you even believe that?
Sadly, she will not be producing the show this time around. Instead, producers of the shows ‘Maharakshak Devi’ and ‘Dance India Dance’ will take up the helm to bring back the classic.
There will be a change in the casting, though. New faces will take the places of the original cast and the production house is finalising it.
It will be refreshing to see Hum Paanch back on TV. And if it is as good as the previous seasons, the kids today might just experience what good TV India can really produce!
