Bomb threats unfolded as Rumors: Know in details

Delhi Lieutenant Governor VK Saxena said the police have traced the origin of the bomb threat emails which appear to be a hoax

On Wednesday, nearly 100 schools in Delhi and the National Capital Region were put on high alert and students were sent home early after receiving a bomb threat via email through unknown address. Police was on search operations, but did not find anything suspicious. It was mentioned as a Hoax by Home Minister

Some reports suggest that a single IP address is used to send the fake email to all the schools. It was not certain but the email address had a Russian domain, the origination of emails is still anonymous.

Delhi Lieutenant Governor VK Saxena said the police have traced the origin of the bomb threat emails which appear to be a hoax.

The appropriate measures were also taken at the schools which have received bomb threats. And parents were advised not to panic, as everything was under control stated by Police spokesperson Suman Nalwa.

Mother Mary School at Mayur Vihar , Sanskiriti School in Chankayapuri and Delhi Public School at Dwarka were among the first schools to receive the threat emails early morning. The emails claiming that there were explosives on the campus.

In a mail to parents, DPS said, “This is to inform you that the school has received an email that threatens the safety and security of the students. As a precautionary measure we are sending the students back home immediately.”

The school premises was evacuated after the local police was informed. After the news breakout the parents rushed to the schools to pick up their children. Bomb detection team, bomb disposal squad and officials of Delhi Fire Service were rushed to the schools as well.

Delhi education minister Atishi, confirming the development, said that nothing suspicious has been found yet in any of the schools.

So far nothing has been found in any of the schools. The whole thing was just a way of mocking and creating a panic situation. The emails received were all hoax and fabricated with foul language.
