“Tragic Incident in Mumbai: Mother with Mental Illness Strangles 11-Year-Old Daughter, Attempts Suicide”

Mumbai/ Borivali – On Thursday, 15th February at 10:30 pm a 46 year old, Rekha struggling with mental illness strangled her own 11 year old daughter with the help of the dupatta. In the end, she tried killing herself by slitting her hand using a knife within the family rented apartment in Borivali, Mumbai, where they resided the father.

As per the reports, the mother was undergoing the medical treatment for mental health issues for 10 years at two hospital at Andheri and Baroda, respectively. However, she skipped her medication for the past three days.

What really happened there?

On the day of the incident, when the father was sitting in the living room the mother locked herself and her daughter in the room. Soon later, the daughter was screaming and accusing her mother of hurting her. But after some time, the scream stopped and after banging the door for a while no one opened the door.

The father soon reported the nearest police station at Kasturba Police Station. The police soon rushed to the resident and broke the door, broke through the door, and found that the daughter lying next to her with a dupatta tangled around her neck on the other hand the mother was surrounded aside the pool of blood. Both were immediately taken to Shatabdi Hospital.

However, unfortunately 11-year-old Ruhaani Solanki was declared dead by the doctors but on the other Rekha is still undergoing treatment.

The police have started the investigation for the case and will soon record the statements of both the mother and the father.
