What’s in an Age: Shahid Afridi reveals his real age once again!

Age might be just a number but it is safe to say that Shahid Afridi has little idea about that number.

Former Pakistan all-rounder Shahid Afridi, who is celebrating his birthday today has once again left the cricket fans in shock with his latest revelation about his much talked about age.

On the occasion of his birthday, the maverick all-rounder on social media thanked his fans and well-wishers for their messages and sweet gestures. Afridi said that his family and fans are his ‘biggest assets’ on the tweet and are grateful for the wishes.

But it is the first part of the tweet which grabbed our eyeball.“Thank you very much for all the lovely birthday wishes – 44 today! My family and my fans are my biggest assets,” Afridi said.

Over the years Afridi’s age has been a hot topic in the cricket Fraternity since his debut. Afridi confirmed that he turned 44 on Monday but according to the official International Cricket Council Records, it still shows 41.

For the unversed Afridi had revealed earlier in his autobiography that he was born in 1975 and not 1980 as the official record state.

So ,According to his autobiography he should have been 46 today. But then again, unpredictability has been Afridi’s hallmark over the years and he showed it once again on his birthday today.

Soon after Afridi’s Tweets, Cricket fans bombarded social media with mere confusion regarding the former Pakistan all-rounder’s actual age.
