Was Alia Bhatt’s pregnancy announcement a promotional strategy?

July 8, 2022 (New Delhi): Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor are expecting their first child. Alia Bhatt recently announced her pregnancy with a picture of herself getting her sonography done while her husband Ranbir looked at the baby on the screen. The pregnancy announcement came after the Brahmastra trailer was released. Many thought it was some kind of promotional strategy for his upcoming film. Ranbir has now broken his silence on the matter and said that his personal life has nothing to do with his work front.

“Alia and I, as a married couple, thought it would be right to tell the world, because we felt it was the right time. We just wanted to share the joy and the news with the world and no one else thought about it,” Ranbir told Hindustan Times.

For the past few years, Alia has been very active on social media and she usually shares glimpses of her love life and subsequent marriage. However, Ranbir has stayed away from social media and is still not interested in being a part of the virtual world. He said, “No, it didn’t compel me at all. I am very happy with the place I am in my life. And connecting to social media had no other idea. My stand is the same as it has been over the years,” he said.

Talking about the workfront, Ranbir is currently promoting his upcoming film, ‘Brahmastra’ which also stars Alia Bhatt, Mouni Roy and Amitabh Bachchan in the lead roles. Directed by Ayan Mukerji, film is slated to hit the theatres on September 9, 2022. The film is made with 300 plus crore budget. Let us tell you that Ranbir and Alia got married in April after being in a relationship for over four years. The couple tied the knot in a private and intimate wedding ceremony at Ranbir’s house in Mumbai.
