Uttarakhand Tourism Minister Satpal Maharaj with 22 other tested covid postive, CM and entire cabinet comes under fire

Satpal Maharaj, serving as the current tourism, cultural and irrigation minister in the cabinet of Government of Uttarakhand has tested positive for corona virus, along with his wife and 21 other members.

A day before his wife, Amrita Rawat was found Corona positive, following which samples of Maharaj and other members were collected. According to the sample reports received on Sunday, Satpal Maharaj, his sons, grandchildren and daughter-in-laws along with 17 accomodation staff have been found positive for Corona Virus.

The minister has also attended cabinet meeting on 29th may leaving a doubt of covid-19 positive reports for the CM and entire cabinet staff as well. For the first ever time in covid history in India, the entire government will be quarantined due to such event.

All minister who attended the meeting will have to be quarantined, state Health Department spokesman J C Pandey said.

The ministers and government said they will follow all the precautionary measures and guidelines as advised by the Health Department in accordance with the Centre’s guidelines.
