The images of National Guard troops sleeping on the floor of the US capitol surfaced online on Wednesday.

The Hundreds of National Guards troops are given the responsibility to be inside the Capitol Visitors Center to reinforce Security at the Capitol.

Throngs of armed, camouflage-clad members of the National Guard wearing helmets, backpacks and carrying weapons at the US Capitol floor provided a jarring and sobering backdrop to the US House chambers as the majority of lawmakers again impeached the sitting president Donald Trump for inciting a deadly insurrection on the nation’s capitol.

National guards forces moved into their positions across Washington on Wednesday as authorities scrambled to understand the threats surrounding President-elect Joe Biden’s inauguration and prevent a repeat of last week’s deadly insurrection at the US Capitol.

The national guard has been told to prepare for the possibility that those plotting attacks on the US capitol during Joe Biden’s inauguration on January 20, will be improvised with explosive devices and will be heavily armed.

It is believed to be the first time in US history that the troops have set up camp in the Capitol since the Civil War.

Meanwhile, US Citizens also shared their views and perception after seeing the pictures of troops inside the Capitol building.
