UP Biodiversity Board, Noida Forest Department & She Wings Earth Day Celebration setting the bar high On Internet.

April 22, 2022 (Noida): UP State Biodiversity Board and Forest Department, Gautam Budh Nagar(Noida) together celebrated ‘World Earth Day’ at world-famous Okhla Bird Sanctuary Park which was sponsored by SheWings, the fastest-growing enterprise (focused on educating women and men on women health and hygiene management and also towards rural health education, environmental sustainability and waste management).

On the occasion of Earth Day, a’ special cycle ride named ‘Ride to Nature’ was flagged off by the Guest of Honour Mr P. K Srivastava, D.F.O, Noida. The Ride to Nature (cycle ride) was started from sector 15 A Noida to Okhla Bird Sanctuary Park in which many Noida and Delhi based cyclists groups participated with zeal and excitement. It was followed by many plantation drives and the distribution of eco-friendly products among the slum-dwellers.

Talking about the activities carried out by the Forest Department of Gautam Budh Nagar(Noida), Mr P.K. Srivastava, D.F.O, Noida said “I am happy to see the zest of people who have come forward and participated in the celebration of the World Earth Day with us in the cycle ride. We have always extended our support and appreciate the companies and people who believe in doing something good for the better tomorrow. We all should plant a tree every day and contribute daily for environmental sustainability”.

Further, speaking about the occasion Mr. Madan Mohit Bharadwaj, Founder of SheWings said – “I think every day should be celebrated as earth day. The way we love our mothers is the same way we should love our mother earth. SheWings always supported and ran campaigns on this crucial topic – the environment. We all have to be responsible for our actions of not destructing the beauty of nature rather than enhancing it with our controlled actions. On this day I would like to urge everyone to avoid and replace plastic as much as they can with sustainable and eco-friendly products”.

He further added- “I am thankful to the UP State Biodiversity Board and Forest Department, Noida for the commendable work that they are doing for Noida and extending full support in organizing the programme today. A big thank you to all the cyclists especially the EDR (East Delhi Riderz group) for showing such great enthusiasm”.

A felicitation ceremony also took place at the end of the celebration, acknowledging the efforts of all those people who have contributed in their own way to protect the mother earth. Founder of SheWings, Mr. Madan Mohit Bharadwaj, Ms. Nikita Sachdeva, C.R.O SheWings and Mr. L. Kaushik, Inspector, Forest Department, Gautam Budh Nagar, Noida was present and contributed his efforts at the venue along with other dignitaries.
