In a devastating sequence of events, television actress Dolly Sohi and her sister Amandeep Sohi have tragically passed away. The heartbreaking news emerged on Friday, March 8, revealing that Dolly, known for her roles in “Jhanak” and “Parineetii,” succumbed to cervical cancer just hours after the reported death of her sister Amandeep, who had been battling jaundice.
The sad news was confirmed by Times of India’s ETimes TV. Dolly’s family expressed their shock and grief in a statement to the media, announcing her departure to the heavenly abode and indicating that the final rites would be conducted later that afternoon.
Amandeep Sohi, acclaimed for her role in “Badtameez Dil,” passed away on Thursday, March 7, as confirmed by her brother Manu Sohi to various publications. He disclosed that Amandeep’s health deteriorated due to jaundice, though the family was not in a state to inquire further into the medical details.
Meanwhile, Manu mentioned that Dolly, although not critically ill, was advised to rest in the hospital. Dolly’s battle with cervical cancer had been publicly acknowledged since 2023, and earlier this year, she was admitted to the emergency ward due to breathing complications. Her recent Instagram post, expressing gratitude for the love and prayers amid her chemotherapy, reflected her resilient spirit.
