Sujoy Ghosh’s Next Film Uma ‘slice-of-life’ film Will Star Kajal Aggarwal

On social media, actress Kajal Aggarwal unveiled her future film. She will star in the film Uma, a slice-of-life drama where the creative producer is Sujoy Ghosh. Avishek Ghosh and Mantraraj Paliwal are producing the film, which will be directed by the director Tathagata Singha.

The official summary of the film notes “Set in an aristocratic household with a wedding backdrop where the entire family assembles, the drama unfolds through the multi-faceted characters with the arrival of a stranger Uma,”

Kajal has expressed her excitement for Uma’s adventure to begin.

She also stated “I’m always keen to give a green signal to scripts that are fun, entertaining yet challenging for me as an actor. I’m excited to share Uma with all of you. I am very happy to be collaborating with AVMA Media, Avishek and director Tathagata, on an extremely interesting film,”

The film will begin shooting with the coronavirus scenario and precautions in mind. Meanwhile, the rest of the cast and crew shortly shall be revealed soon, most probably in the upcoming week.

On the working front, she was most notably seen in the Live Telecast of the Disney+ Hotstar series and is quite well known for her roles in major films such as Singham, Magadheera, and Special 26 etc.
