Steve Smith Lands in New Controversy, Caught using dirty tactics to unsettle Pant by scruffing out his guard mark

The third test Between India and Australia is slowly moving towards an exciting finish after a combination of both aggression and patience intent shown from Rishabh Pant and Cheteshwar Pujara helped India close to the 407-run target in Sydney.

Pant and Pujara started slowly but soon took on the charge with back to back boundaries to put Australia in great desperation in their quest for victory.

An incident came to light on Day 5 When former Australian Captain Steve Smith was caught on the stump camera scuffing up the batsman’s guard on purpose during the drinks break in the first session.

Smith was seen scuffing out Pant’s guard mark in an attempt to unsettle him, forcing the youngster to take guard again.

Although Smith’s face isn’t visible in the video fans recognized him by his jersey no.49

Smith’s action made cricket fans furious and Netizens flooded social media slamming Smith and the Australian team for their negative tactics against India.

Earlier Smith has been involved in major controversial moments. Smith was suspended for a year on his infamous 2018 Cape Town Test SandPaperGate Scandal as he was banished from captaincy and banned for two years along with David Warner.
