Sisodia cites Gujarat polls, says CBI ‘fully prepared’ to arrest him

17 October 2022 (New Delhi): The controversy over the liquor policy of the Kejriwal government in Delhi does not seem to stop. CBI, which is investigating this case, has summoned Delhi Deputy CM Manish Sisodia and asked him to be questioned at 11 o’clock today. However, the Aam Aadmi Party has claimed that the CBI has called to arrest Sisodia. Manish Sisodia reached the Aam Aadmi Party office before leaving for the CBI headquarters. From here, he reached Rajghat with AAP leaders. Here he paid tribute to Mahatma Gandhi. Sisodia said earlier that their preparations were to arrest me. Nothing was found in the investigation. He described the whole matter as a fake and said “They were putting me in jail so that I could not go to Gujarat. “The Deputy CM of Delhi said that the condition of the schools in Gujarat is dire. The youths are unemployed.
He said that the BJP is losing in the Gujarat elections, so they will put me in jail. Manish Sisodia said that the common man is fighting the Gujarat elections. Earlier, Manish Sisodia left for the CBI office by applying tilak from home, eating sweets and smiling. Sanjay Singh, the Aam Aadmi Party’s Rajya Sabha MP, also reached Manish Sisodia’s residence. On the other hand, in view of the possibility of uproar, tight security arrangements have been made near the CBI headquarters. Not only this, there is no gathering around Manish Sisodia’s house, as Section 144 has been imposed.
The police have put up barricades on both the roads leading to the CBI headquarters. A large number of police personnel have been deployed here. Paramilitary personnel are also being deployed. Even before this, Aam Aadmi Party leaders and workers have demonstrated outside the CBI headquarters. In such a situation, Delhi Police fear that there may be a ruckus even today. In view of the apprehension of uproar, Delhi Police was already in alert mode. Kejriwal said that campaigning will not stop in Gujarat

Section 144 has been imposed at Manish Sisodia’s residence due to the apprehension of AAP workers gathering. Not only this, Delhi Police and paramilitary forces have been heavily deployed around Sisodia’s house.
Sisodia will be arrested
Sanjay Singh said that by sending a notice, the CBI and the Bharatiya Janata Party had called for the arrest and not interrogation of Manish Sisodia yesterday. He said that before Manish Sisodia’s rallies, meetings, and campaign programmes are held in Gujarat, this notice is a sign of defeat and frustration for the BJP. The fear of defeat is haunting the BJP in Gujarat; it is giving them sleepless nights. The only task left with the BJP is to harass and put the leaders of the Aam Aadmi Party in jail. In Gujarat, there is a direct contest between the Aam Aadmi Party and the Bharatiya Janata Party. LG had recommended a CBI probe The BJP had raised questions about the liquor policy of the Kejriwal government. The BJP had demanded a CBI inquiry into allegations of corruption and irregularities in this policy. LG VK Saxena had ordered a CBI inquiry after the Chief Secretary’s report. Questions were also raised about the role of Neesh Sisodia in this report. The excise department of Delhi is under Manish Sisodia. After the controversy escalated, the Kejriwal government withdrew this liquor policy. After this, the CBI raided the residence of Manish Sisodia. In this case, the CBI has now called Deputy CM Sisodia for questioning. The CBI has questioned several people, including Indo Spirits owner Sameer Mahendru; Amit Arora, director of Big Retail Pvt Ltd in Gurugram; and Mutha Gautam, managing director of India Ahead, in this case. The CBI has so far recorded the statements of 10 accused.
