Sidharth Malhotra opens up about his role of Army Officer in Aiyaary

Sidharth Malhotra is seen for the first time in an army officer role in Neeraj Pandey’s Aiyaari, where he is will be sharing the screen with actor Manoj Bajpayee. Talking about playing an army officer in the film, Sidharth mentioned that he was most excited about it.

At the trailer launch of the film, Sidharth said, “More than pressure it was very exciting to know that I’ll be sharing the screen with so many actors who I have grown up watching. I have been a big fan of Neeraj sir films. I had certain dramatic scenes with Manoj sir. The whole film is based on that one particular relationship between two generations. That’s more exciting than nervous.”

Sidharth attended workshops with his director and co-actor to understand his role better. He said, “Neeraj sir is someone who does all his homework and makes it very easy for his actors. We know exactly what are we doing in a scene and even he knows what does he wants. Things go much clearer, faster, there is no element of doubt on set. It was blessing to have Neeraj sir just instructing us what he wants in every scene which makes easy for us to prepare. We did do workshops. Me and Manoj sir used to meet up with Neeraj sir and we used to have chats about the movie, do scenes sometimes once in a while and look test and then talk about fitness and then about food… Manoj sir always used to be on diet.”

He further added, “I’m happy to be part of this team. I got to learn a lot about acting from Manoj sir. I loved the way he preps.”
