Shocking! Naagin 3 actor Pearl V Puri was arrested for allegedly raping a minor girl.

Television Actor Pearl V Puri has been arrested by the Mumbai Police for allegedly raping a minor girl. He was arrested on Friday by Waliv Police in Vasai on charges of rape and molestation.

Naagin 3 actor Pearl gas been remanded to police custody and booked for rape under the section of The Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act.

Sanjay Patil, DCP Zone 2, Mira Bhayander Vasai Vihar said, ‘ The incident is old but the 17- year old minor victim complained to us along with her mother at the police station and we registered a case under Section 376 (rape) of IPC and Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act (POCSO) Act, 2012’. The actor is remanded in Police custody by Vasai Court, according to Patil.

Reportedly, the minor girl has alleged that Puri has taken sexual favours from her by promising her a career in TV serials.

Meanwhile, as soon as the news broke, Pearl’s Naagin 3 co-star Anita Hassanandani spoke in his support. Sharing a photo with him on Instagram, she wrote, “Woke up to some nonsensical news bout @pearlvpuri I know him! It is NOT true … canNOT be true…. all lies. I’m sure there is more to it. And the truth will be out soon. Love you @pearlvpuri #ISTANDWITHPEARL.”

In the professional front, Pearl V Puri is known for starring in Naagin 3, Nagarjuna Ek Yoddha, and Bepanah Pyyar. He was last seen on Brahmarakhas 2, in which he played Angad Mehra.
