Rohit Sharma becomes 6th Indian batsman to achieve 10,000 runs in ODI format
Indian captain Rohit Sharma has completed his 10 thousand runs in ODI cricket in the match against Sri Lanka. He is the sixth Indian to do so. Before him, Sachin Tendulkar, Sourav Ganguly, Rahul Dravid, Mahendra Singh Dhoni and Virat Kohli have achieved this feat. Rohit has so far scored more than 10 thousand runs in 241 ODI innings at an average of 49 and strike rate of 90. During this period, 30 centuries and 50 half-centuries have come from his bat.
Rohit Sharma became the second fastest Indian batsman after Virat Kohli to complete the 10,000-run mark in ODI cricket. Kohli had achieved this feat in ODI against West Indies in Visakhapatnam in 2018. Kohli had completed his 10 thousand ODI runs in 205 innings. Rohit reached this milestone in his 241st innings.
Rohit Sharma achieved this feat on a special occasion, as it was his 50th ODI against Sri Lanka. Rohit, who made his ODI debut in 2007, is among the great ODI players with 30 centuries including three double centuries and 50 fifties.
