Ranveer Singh wishes to have a career like Amitabh Bachchan in his 80s

13 October 2022 (New Delhi): Bollywood actor Ranveer Singh is one of the most energetic and talented actors in the industry. Ranveer remains in the headlines for one reason or the other. Ranveer Singh, who keeps his heart out in front of everyone openly, recently said that he wants to be like veteran actor Amitabh Bachchan. Ranveer says he wants to be like him, who is still acting at the age of 80. In fact, recently, Ranveer was honoured with the Lokmat Maharashtrian Award for the year 2022 during an event in Mumbai on Tuesday. Ranveer dedicated the award to his ‘Idol’, Amitabh Bachchan, and praised him.

Ranveer Singh called himself a proud Maharashtrian

After receiving the award at this award function in Mumbai, Ranveer described himself as “a proud Maharashtrian”. This award was given to Ranveer by industry veteran Nana Patekar. In such a situation, after accepting the award, Ranveer told actor Nana Patekar, “Nana ji, today your friend and my idol, Amitabh Bachchan ji, on his 80th birthday. I dedicate this award to him today. Ranveer further said, “I wanted to become Amitabh Bachchan since childhood. Even today I want to become Amitabh Bachchan, and in the future also I would like to make Amitabh Bachchan only. I mean, even at the age of 80, he is engaged with work.”

Earlier this month, Ranveer had expressed his admiration for Amitabh in an interview with a media outlet. He said, “Let’s just say that the rooms of my heart have their own posters. I can categorically say that she is my biggest idol, a god whom I respect. It was my grandmother who introduced me to the brilliance and artistry of Amitabh Bachchan. While playing VHS after VHS of Amitabh Bachchan’s movies, she would feed me her special homemade Sindhi delicious cello bread. And she used to tell me, ‘One day you’ll grow up and be like her!’

Coming to Ranveer Singh’s workfront, the actor will next be seen starring in the film ‘Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani’ alongside Alia Bhatt, Dharmendra, Shabana Azmi, and Jaya Bachchan. The film will hit theatres on February 11, 2023. Apart from this, he also has Rohit Shetty’s directorial ‘Circus’, starring Jacqueline Fernandez and Pooja Hegde in the lead roles. The film is going to be released on Christmas.
