Raj Thackeray’s cartoon slams PM Modi, depicts his autobiography ‘My Experiments with Lies’
Taking a fresh dig at Prime Minister Narendra Modi on the Gandhi Jayanti, Thackeray dragged comparison between the saffron party supremo and Mahatma Gandhi.
Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) chief Raj Thackeray had, in many instances, been a loud voice against the Modi-government and its policies. Taking a fresh dig at Prime Minister Narendra Modi on the Gandhi Jayanti, Thackeray dragged comparison between the saffron party supremo and Mahatma Gandhi.
In a cartoon, termed ‘Two of the same soil’, released on the eve of the Mahatma’s birth anniversary, Thackeray depicted Gandhi holding his autobiography, ‘My Experiment with Truths’ alongside Modi, who holds his autobiography, ‘My Experiments with Lies’.

However, this is not the first time the MNS chief hit out at the Prime Minister. Recently, after the unfortunate stampede near Elphinstone railway station claimed the lives of 22 people in Mumbai, Thackeray targeted PM Modi’s plans to introduce the Bullet train in India. In a strong statement against the central government, Thackeray claimed that the people need a proper railway infrastructure more than the high speed trains. “While people are struggling to survive in the cities, Modi is asking them to do yoga and campaign for Swachh Bharat,” he said.
Further alleging that fugitive underworld don Dawood Ibrahim is negotiating terms with the Modi government to come back to the country, Thackeray recently, through one of his caricatures, depicted Modi being dragged into India by Dawood.
Thackeray also called Modi a ‘liar, claiming that the former Gujarat Chief Minister has changed all his statements after winning the 2014 Lok Sabha elections.
