Priyanka Chopra extends support to Iranian women over Mahsa Amini’s death

8 October 2022 (New Delhi): Recently, 22-year-old Mahsa Amini died due to protest against hijab in Iran. After this, women here are protesting against the hijab. Bollywood’s famous actress, Priyanka Chopra, has given her support to the protests in Iran. Priyanka has written a long post on Instagram related to this.


What did Priyanka write on social media? 


Priyanka Chopra wrote that “Women in Iran and around the world are raising their voices, cutting their hair in public and protesting for Mahsa Amini. Explode! And they will not be suppressed. “

Priyanka further wrote, “I admire your courage. It is not easy to challenge the patriarchal system and fight for your rights, risking your life, but you are courageous women who are doing it every day, no matter what the cost. ” Priyanka wrote to her that “I stand with you. Jin, Jian, Azadi, et al., Women, Zindagi, Azadi. Raise your voice, so that these voices are not forced to remain silent now. “


Anti-hijab demonstration

Keep in mind that Mahsa Amini, 22, was arrested in Iran by the Morality Police because she was not wearing a hijab properly. After this, Mahsa Amini was killed in police custody. The police were accused of torturing Mahsa. While the police say that Mahsa died of a heart attack. After Mahsa’s death, women in Iran are protesting against the hijab. Women are cutting their hair on the streets. She is burning her hijab in protest as well as sharing the video on social media. Many people have also died in the protests.
