Increased number of False rape cases taking innocent lives

24 September 2022 (New Delhi): A contractor named Prashant Vijay Singh, who lived in Shipra apartment in the GomtiNagar extension area, hanged himself late Friday night. Inside the house, his body was discovered hanging from a noose. A suicide note was also discovered in his room. In this note he accuses a female executive engineer working for PWD.

Prashant was charged with rape case

Seven months ago, the lady executive engineer filed a rape case against the contractor at Indira Nagar police station, and he was arrested. Following his release from prison, the executive engineer allegedly demanded money on a regular basis. He committed suicide because she threatened to torture and destroy the house.

Actions will be based on the contractor’s family members’ complaint

The Inspector of Gomtinagar Extension stated that the rape case against the contractor had been reinstated. He was also imprisoned for this. The family members have yet to file a complaint against anyone. Many other issues are being investigated, including the fact of the suicide note. Action will be taken by registering a case based on the complaint made by the contractor’s family members.

No response on the door

Swatantra, Prashant Vijay Singh’s younger brother Vijay Singh stated that his brother was in his room on Friday night. Raghav, Raghav’s nephew, was studying. Brother Prashant told Raghav that he was going to sleep and that he should go to another room and close the door. Nitisha, the sister-in-law, knocked late at night but received no response.
