11 October 2022 (New Delhi): Bollywood megastar Amitabh Bachchan is celebrating his 80th birthday today, and the country’s Prime Minister, Narendra Modi, has wished him on this special occasion. Prime Minister Narendra Modi also wished the megastar and prayed for his long and healthy life. He tweeted, “A very happy 80th birthday to Amitabh Bachchan Ji. He is one of India’s most remarkable film personalities who has enthralled and entertained audiences across generations. May he lead a long and healthy life. @SrBachchan ”
Not only PM Modi, but also many other political and entertainment figures, have wished Big B a happy birthday.Amitabh Bachchan has earned many awards and accolades in his decades-long career in the film industry. He has won five National Film Awards, 15 Filmfare Awards and several awards at international film festivals. The Government of India honoured him with the Padma Shri in 1984, Padma Bhushan in 2001 and Padma Vibhushan in 2015. In 2018, he was also honoured with the Dadasaheb Phalke Award.
Big B has special birthday plans
Big B has special plans for his 80th birthday. If reports are to be believed, the megastar can go to the Tirupati temple with the family. A 4-day special programme has been organised on the occasion of Amitabh’s birthday held in Mumbai from October 8 to 11, titled ‘Bachchan: Back to the Beginning’. As a part of the 4-day event, Big B’s films, including “Don,” were screened at PVR Juhu on Saturday. B-town stars lined up to watch “Amar Akbar Anthony” in theatres last night. His first look poster for his upcoming film “Uchai” was released yesterday. Big B recently appeared on the big screen in “Brahmastra” and “Goodbye. He will soon be seen in the remakes of “Uchhai,” “Project K,” and “The Intern.”
