No Fear No Favour

Oh Wow It Has Been 15 Years Of Saurav Ganguly being Salman Khaan!!

One of India’s greatest cricket moments took place on July 13, 2002. The Indian cricket team, on that day under the captaincy of Sourav Ganguly, defeated England in the Natwest final and it was a match worth watching.

Set 326 to win, the visitors squandered good start to limp to 146/5. Yuvraj Singh (69) and Mohammad Kaif (87*) added 121 for the 6th wicket to bring them back into the match. Kaif was still there at the end as Zaheer Khan squeezed out the winning runs with 3 balls and 2 wickets to spare and that sent both fans and players into a frenzy.

Captain Sourav Ganguly was so much happy for his team’s win against England that he couldn’t control his emotions after the win and thereafter he pulled off his blue jersey in excitement and rolled it out up in the air. This incident marked history in the world cricket.

This got mixed reviews from the experts both positive and negative which had no effects on our over rejuvenated captain. Sourav has no regrets of what he did till date.
