Nurse At Sonam Kapoor’s House Stole Rs 2.1 Crore Cash, Jewellery: Police
April 13,2022 (New Delhi): Recently a new of robbery at Actress Sonam Kapoor’s Delhi residence was getting viral. Earlier there were speculations about involvement of Domestic Helps but now the reports are indicating that the convict behind the robbery has been identified by the police. A nurse working at actor Sonam Kapoor’s Delhi residence was arrested along with her husband for allegedly stealing cash and jewellery worth Rs 2.4 crore in February, police said on Wednesday.
Aparna Ruth Wilson was a caregiver for the actor’s mother-in-law at the house in posh Amrita Shergill Marg, they said, and added that Wilson’s husband Naresh Kumar Sagar is an accountant at a private firm in Shakarpur.The theft took place on February 11 and a police case was registered on February 23 when it was reported at Tughlaq Road Police Station, the police said.
The husband-wife duo, accused of stealing cash and jewellery from Sonam’s house, were arrested by the Delhi Police Crime Branch in a raid conducted on Tuesday night.
“The Delhi Police Crime Branch along with a team of the Special Staff Branch of the New Delhi district conducted a raid in Sarita Vihar on Tuesday night. They apprehended Wilson and her husband, both 31 years old,” a senior police officer said, adding that they have been arrested.
FYI the complaint was made on 23.02.22 that there was a theft at R/o Harish Ahuja, Amrita Shergil Marg. They complained that some cash and jewellery combined worth 2.4 crore was stolen. They had noticed it on February 11but complained only on February 23. Immediately FIR was registered and an investigation started. Teams have been formed and an examination of the evidence is underway. Further investigation is in process,” the police said in a press release.
However, as per sources, the stolen jewellery and cash are yet to be recovered.
