1. Exit Gates of Rajiv Chowk Metro station will be closed after 9 pm on 31st December: DMRC

Delhi Metro Rail Coorporation on Wednesday announced that Exit gates of Rajiv Chowk Metro Station will be closed from 9 pm on the occasion of New Year’s Eve.

“New Year Eve Update:To ease overcrowding on New Year’s Eve (31 December 2020), exit from Rajiv Chowk metro station will not be allowed after 9 PM onwards. Entry of passengers will be allowed till the departure of last train. Please plan your journey accordingly.” DMRC tweeted.

2. Over 9 lakh employees in Telangana to get a salary hike: CM KC Rao.

Ahead of New Year’s Eve, Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao on Tuesday decided to enhance salaries of all government employees, increase the age of superannuation and to fill vacancies in all the government departments. He announced that the salary hike would benefit government employees, Grant-in Aid employees, work charged employees, daily wage employees, both full time and part time contingent employees, Home Guards, anganwadi workers, contract employees, outsourcing employees, Asha workers, vidya volunteers, SERP (Society for Elimination of Rural Poverty) employees and people receiving honorariums and pensions.

3. Nashville Bomber’s girlfriend warned cops about the attack.

More than a year before he detonated a bomb in downtown Nashville on Christmas, officers visited Anthony Warner’s home after his girlfriend told police that he was building bombs in an RV trailer at his residence, according to documents obtained by The Associated Press. But they were unable to make contact with him, or see inside his RV.

Russian authorities on Tuesday ramped up the pressure on top Kremlin critic Alexei Navalny by leveling new fraud accusations against him.The Investigative Committee, Russia’s main investigative agency, said it has opened a new criminal case against Navalny on charges of large-scale fraud related to his alleged mishandling of some $5 million in private donations to his Anti-Corruption Foundation and other organizations.
