1. Babar Azam, Imam-ul-Haq ruled out of the first Test against New Zealand.

Pakistan captain Babar Azam and opener Imam-ul-Haq were on Monday ruled out of the upcoming first Test against New Zealand with thumb injuries, prompting the tour selection committee to include young Imran Butt in the 17-member squad.

The Boxing Day Test is scheduled to be played in Mount Maunganui from December 26-30.

While Babar has fractured his right thumb, Imam has injured his left thumb during training sessions in Queenstown last week.

2. Actor Mithun Chakraborty collapses on the sets of Kashmir Files set due to food poisoning.

Actor Mithun Chakraborty on Saturday collapsed on the sets of a movie after suffering from food poisoning.

The 70-year-old veteran actor reportedly fell sick in Mussoorie while shooting for filmmaker Vivek Agnihotri’s upcoming movie, The Kashmir Files.

However, he not only finished the scene but also recovered quickly to resume the rest of the shoot on Sunday.

3. ‘Mexican Kim Kardashian’ Joselyn Cano dies following a botched butt-lift surgery.

Popular Instagram model Joselyn Cano, 30, has died of an alleged botched butt-lift surgery. Cano was popularly known as the ‘Mexican Kim Kardashian and lives in California.

According to reports, Cano had traveled to Colombia for the surgery where she died on December 7 due to post-surgery complications.

Cano’s family is yet to make a statement to the press but held a virtual screening of her funeral on YouTube on Friday.

4. Rajinikanth Summoned Over Comment On 2018 Anti-Sterlite Protests.

In trouble for superstar Rajinikanth, a one-person inquiry commission, probing the Tuticorin firing case, on Monday issued a summon to the actor over his remark that “antisocial elements infiltrated protests” at Sterlite plant in which 13 people were killed.

The Tamil cinema megastar has been asked to depose before the commission on January 19, regarding his comments on the Tuticorin shootout incident.
