Nirma ditches Hema, Rekha, Jaya and Sushma and chooses Hrithik Roshan for their new advertisement.

‘Washing Powder Nirma. Washing Powder Nirma’ is the popular ad jingle that was released decades back for one of the oldest Indian brands, Nirma. While the characters playing Hema, Rekha, Jaya and Sushma in the ad kept changing, the brand continued to have a great brand recall through the four names. Nirma, the detergent brand has now ditched the ladies to partner with Hrithik Roshan for their brand, Nirma Advance.

This time around, the brand has picked the tagline ‘Naye Zamane Ke Ziddi Daagon Ke Liye’. In the ad, featuring Roshan, the actor is seen attending a party where he spills a drink on his T-shirt while looking at an attractive girl. When he goes to the washroom to clean up, he meets a kid with a spot on his T-Shirt. On realizing that there is Nirma Advance in the washroom, the two dance while the detergent is doing its magic on their T-shirts.

In the end, when the two are about to leave the washroom, the girl Roshan was attracted to walks in with a spot on her dress. That’s when Roshan says, ‘Nirma Advance – Naye Zamane Ke Ziddi Daagon Ke Liye’.
