Netizens set the social media abuzz as Hungama 2 fails to impress them with the lackluster storyline.

The much-awaited romantic comedy film Hungama 2 was finally released on Disney Plus Hotstar on Friday. The film marks the return of Bollywood’s gorgeous actress Shilpa Shetty who makes a comeback to the screen after 13 years. Along with Shilpa Shetty, the film includes stars like Paresh Rawal, Rajpal Yadav, Meezaan Jaffrey, and Pranitha Subhash.

The film is a sequel to Director Priyadarshan’s 2003 hit comedy film Hungama and is a remake of his 1994 Malayalam film Minnaram. With Hungama 2, Priyadarshan made his comeback to the Hindi film industry after a break of almost 8 years.

Hungama 2 stars Ashutosh Rana as the head of the family which includes son Aakash ( Meezaan Jaffrey ), Paresh Rawal as Tiwari, a deeply suspicious husband, and Shilpa Shetty as Anjali, Tiwari’s attractive wife. Paresh Rawal as Anjali’s husband Tiwari struggles with a lack of trust and believe his wife is cheating on him. Though their life is eclipsed more with the arrival of Aakash mysterious old girlfriend Vaani (Pranitha Subhash who comes with a baby girl with her and claims Aakash as her baby’s father.

Well, this plot might have prepared you to enjoy a rollercoaster ride but much to our disappointment, the film failed to live upon the expectations. While fans had expected the sequel to be a laughing riot, considering the hilarious punches in Hungama, the film failed to deliver this time.
