Netizens set the social media abuzz as Fahadh Faasil’s Powerful Performance lifts the newly released gangster drama movie ‘Malik’

Malik, the highly anticipated gangster drama film that features the superstar Fahadh Faasil in the lead role, has finally premiered on Amazon Prime Video. After having critically acclaimed ventured movie like Take /off and CU Soon, director Mahesh Narayanan and actor Fahadh Faasil reunites for Malik, which is their most ambitious and most expensive collaboration to date.

Inspired by real-life events, the movie focuses on Sulaiman also Ali Ikka ( Fahadh Faasil), the uncrowned and undisputed leader of Ramadappali, A Muslim Dominated Hamlet near Thiruvananthapuram. Malik spans the lifetime of Sulaiman, who in the opening moments of the film is arrested by the authorities at the airport. At the airport he is ambushed by the police who arrests him for a murder he has been accused of years ago. The government is also ready to blame him for a riot that happened some time back.

His mother is ready to testify against him, the cops are planning to kill him within the prison walls and his wife Roseline is trying her best to keep him out of prison and alive. Well, We will leave you there. No More Spoilers Ahead!

Notably, The film has some brilliantly written, executed, and acted scenes that are going to stay with the viewers for a very long time. Despite having striking similarities with the worlds set by the Hollywood classic The Godfather and Mani Ratnam’s Nayagan, this Fahadh Faasil starrer succeeds in carving its own Identity. However, what makes Malik different is how it uses Sulaiman’s rise to power to expose the political nexus who uses religious tensions and tactics to destabilize a region and encroach the local land.

Right from the 12-minute long single shot, in the beginning, the audience is in for an unmatched cinematic experience. Along with Fahadh Faasil, Malik also features Nimisha Sajayan, Vinay Forrt, Joju George, and Dileesh Pothan playing other important roles in the film.

Moreover, Fahadh Faasil had once again reinvented himself as an actor with his character Sulaiman in the film Malik. Fahadh features three different getups indicating three different age groups of his character in the movie. The National Award Winner portrays the different age groups of his character with absolute ease and conviction. He is a hero in his own right.
