Netizens demands replacement of Saif Ali Khan as he said ‘AdiPurush will justify Ravana’s abduction of Sita’

Actor Saif Ali Khan is all set to play the antagonist in the much-hyped OM Raut directorial ‘Adipurush’, featuring a south superstar Prabhas as Lord Rama. The film will show the victory of good over evil.

Saif will essay the role of Lankesh, the evil king of Lanka. In one of the posters, Lord Rama can be seen pointing his arrow to the ten-headed Ravana.

Speaking about his role Saif Ali Khan opened about his character and revealed that the director has tried to make Ravana humane in the film.He also said that the film will justify Ravan’s abduction of Sita and war with Lord Rama, after Lakshmana cut off his sister Surpanakha’s nose.

He told Mumbai Mirror, “It’s interesting to play a demon king, less strictures in that. But we will make him humane, up the entertainment quotient, justify his abduction of Sita and the war with Ram as revenge for what was done to his sister Surpanakha by Lakshman, who cut off her nose.”

While the fans have been eagerly waiting for the film, Saif’s statement that the film will ‘justify the abduction of Sita by Ravan’ has irked them.

Netizens have set the social media abuzz demanding the replacement of Saif Ali Khan as Lankesh.
