Netizens boycott Kapil Sharma Show after team refused to welcome “The Kashmir Files” team on set

The Kapil Sharma Show is one of the most popular Television comedy show telecasted in India. Hosted by Kapil Sharma, The show often welcomes Bollywood stars to promote their upcoming films. Akshay Kumar, Deepika Padukone , Shah Rukh to Salman Khan, popular stars are seen on the comedy show. But Vivek Agnihotri’s, “The Kashmir Files”, which is set to release on March 11, won’t be promoted on the show.

When fans took to social media to urge Vivek Agnihotri to come on “The Kapil Sharma” Show to promote “The Kashmir Files”, the filmmaker claimed that the comedian and the TKSS team refused to get them on the show, as his film did not have popular stars. This created a lot of outrage among people on social media. They took to Twitter to trend #BoycottKapilSharmaShow. Also Vivek Agnihotri eloquently said on Twitter that it’s a fact that they refused to call us on their show because there is no big star.

The Kashmir Files movie is based on the real-life exodus of Kashmiri Pandits from Kashmir and is making trending headlines ever since the trailer has been released. Vivek Agnihotri said, “In Bollywood non-starter Directors, writers and Good actors are considered as ‘NOBODIES’.” But this reason did not go well with the netizens who slammed the makers of ‘TKSS’ for not inviting the cast of the film on the set.

In Picture: The Kashmir Files is scheduled to be premiered on March 11 in cinemas.

FYI, “The Kashmir Files” is an upcoming Indian Hindi-language film written and directed by Vivek Agnihotri which is produced by Abhishek Agarwal starring Anupam Kher and Mithun Chakraborty. The film tells the story of the exodus of Kashmiri Hindus in the early 1990’s due to the Kashmir Insurgency. The film will appear on big screens on March 11, 2022. Fans are really excited for watching this real life event based film.
